About Us.

Founding

One of the oldest fraternities in the nation, Phi Gamma Delta was founded on May 1st, 1848 at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, when six students gathered together to form a society. They are held in high regard as the founders of the organization.

Our Greek Letters

Members of FIJI hold our Greek letters in reverence. Therefore, we limit their display to a select number of places, such as the front of the chapter house, the fraternity flag, class rings, and the member badge. When our Fraternity is named in campus or interfraternity publications, we prefer the full spelling of Phi Gamma Delta or the nickname "FIJI," rather than use of the Greek letters.

The Vision

To be an active, vital force of men who courageously live our values and make a positive impact on our university and the community, with prestige. Our members will exemplify our values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality & Excellence.

EXPANSION

With over 140+ chapters and colonies and nearly 200,000 lifetime members, FIJI is one of the largest international fraternities to date. With alumni from all over the world, the opportunities for networking are endless.

The legacy of prestige left by the organization is second to none.
